OUR PROGRAMS
In 10 years of community service, Misi Kami Peduli (Mission: We Care) has completed various programs under the two pillars of Education and Technology. This year, we are glad to be back with our new programs to help another community in Desa Afia, Nias. Born from these two pillars are the program divisions that are thoroughly assessed to provide a holistic support for the beneficiaries.
EDUCATION
“Sekolah-sekolah saja tidak dapat memajukan masyarakat, tetapi juga keluarga di rumah harus turut bekerja. Lebih-lebih dari rumahlah kekuatan mendidik itu harus berasal." - R.A. Kartini

Fantasi buku bersama
Our education division will implement a literacy program designed to enhance children's interest in reading through the newly established Children's Library in Gunungsitoli, built by the local Library Department. This program is an initiative of the Library Department that has yet to be fully realized.
Our literacy program not only encourages children to develop a passion for reading but also opens doors to new dreams and aspirations.

digital literacy challenge
Recognizing the importance of preparing the next generation for the future, we are also focusing on the older youth by organizing a case competition at Universitas Nias. This competition aims to enhance digital literacy and equip them with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Through this competition, participants will also develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills that are essential for their future careers.
PURPOSE
Water is the source of life, and in Desa Afia, we are working to ensure that the rice fields, which hundreds of families rely on for their livelihood, remain fertile. By building a new irrigation system, we will be able to irrigate over 80 hectares of paddy fields, ensuring better and more stable harvests for the entire village. Through this initiative, we hope to bring sustainable change to Desa Afia, helping them increase food production and, ultimately, improve the quality of life for the entire community.
